In the National Medical Research Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, N. N. Priorov, 30 patients, all professional athletes, were treated with the Vacusport device with intermittent vacuum therapy after arthroscopic meniscus resection and stabilizing interventions on the anterior and posterior knee joint.

The prestigious N. N. Priorov Research Center was founded in 1952 as a trauma clinic for athletes and the National Ballet. The department was headed for 30 years by Prof. Zoya Sergeeyna Mironova, a former athlete, two-time speed skating champion and Minister of Sports. Since 1998 Prof. Dr. Anatoly Korneevich Orletskiy presented to the institute. He is the recipient of the Russian Government Prize for Science, a member of the European and American Scientific Societies for Traumatology and Orthopedics, and a consultant to the Medical Center of the Presidential Administration, as well as the medical director of the Sports and Ballet Trauma Clinic, CITO (Central Institute for Traumatology and Orthopedy).

Prof. Orletskiy is the author of around 150 scientific papers. Together with his colleague, Dr. Timchenko Dmitrij Olegovitch, the following study on postoperative rehabilitation acceleration with the help of IVT was carried out:
